I wrote a first draft of this post recapping the Jingle All the Way 10K, but it was so grumpy and grinchy that even I wanted to smack myself. So I rewrote it.

Unfortunately, today’s race wasn’t what I pictured, but all in all, it was a very decent race.
The weather was not ideal, but the course was flat.
I didn’t PR, but I was only 2 seconds off a PR.
I was cold and wet when I was done, but I got home quickly and hopped into a hot bath.
The day started off early and cold, but is sure to end warm and friendly tonight at the DC Cookie Swap.
I didn’t get any pictures of myself, but I snapped a few on my way to and from the race on my phone.
I didn’t get a chance to catch up with Anne and Liz as I might have had hoped, but I did run into Lauren! (Congrats ladies on a great race! Nice PR Anne!)
Oh well. Even cold and rainy races have silver linings!
Would I run it again? Oh sure! Maybe next time, I’ll dress like this guy.
